God has condemned me not. No more do I.
Picking up on the last sentence of yesterday's commentary..."But far better if before"..... a few notes as to why....
Today I didn't make it to the local church I've been attendinng, and spirit had me go online and attend (via live streaming) the Agape service over in LA where Marianne Williamson was the guest speaker. I am so glad I did.
Many of us have a long history with Marianne, but it has been a while since I tuned into her current (always timeless) message. And her whole talk today (via http://www.agapelive.com/) was about WHY it is far better to get who we really are before we leave this body. It can be summed up in three words. Service to Life.
As mastery is the power of distinction, service is the power to transform. Who we actually are is the spirit of God in flesh, here to remake this dimension into the likeness of Heaven. As Marianne pointed out, that cannot be done by turning away from all the suffering that this world is full of and denying it's existence while we ignore it. Especially, that cannot be done in the name of 'spirituality'. Where denial IS powerful though, is to DENY THE SUFFERING ANY POWER OVER YOU.
If you know who you are, really, that is what you will do. As the spirit of God awake in a body, our lives are then 'for the wholeness', no matter the content of our personal journey. If we know who we are, and continually remember it, fear has little wiggle room--- eventually none. And this is the condition that calls us into our true mission.
Nothing short of our God-given mission is our true work in this world, and as Marianne quoted the Course.... nothing is accidental about any of the circumstances in our lives... all of it is there as our curriculum, our journey of mastering our tendency to forget the Truth about ourselves. That our egos would kill our joy as it leads us from suffering to suffering is widely evident.... just look at the world. And that Love is The Answer to all life's dilemmas is known to us each by direct experience... just listen to your own heart. It follows naturally then that to answer the call of suffering with Love, whatever the form, is our true purpose.
Therefore, let us remember who we are, that we may serve THAT which IS REAL. All that is required of anyone is authentic surrender. Don't worry then. God will know, and will let you know, what is next.
Namaste,
David

Lesson 228
God has condemned me not. No more do I.
My Father knows my holiness. Shall I deny His knowledge, and believe in what His knowledge makes impossible? Shall I accept as true what He proclaims as false? Or shall I take His Word for what I am, since He is my Creator, and the One Who knows the true condition of His Son?
Father, I was mistaken in myself, because I failed to realize the Source from which I came. I have not left that Source to enter in a body and to die. My holiness remains a part of me, as I am part of You. And my mistakes about myself are dreams. I let them go today. And I stand ready to receive Your Word alone for what I really am.
