Commentary on ACIM Lesson 285

My holiness shines bright and clear today.

What can alter Holiness itself? Truly nothing has that power. All that is Holy is imperishable, is impossible to defile, and is the core truth of this and all universes. What is Holy is God, and All that God has created. Am I and are not you created by the God that is the sole source of Life? Has not this Our Creator birthed us from Himself? Does He not call us His Sons, His Daughters, His Children, His People? Does not He give us each moment this very breath of life we each breathe? Does He not continue to know we are His own, and not our nightmares of separation?

As we know the answers to these questions is in truth and without doubt YES, we remember our own true nature. Our true nature is Love, and all its expressions: Joy, Peace, Health, Purity of Mind, Compassion, Forgiveness.... to name only a few. Our lesson today is an invitation to take a giant step forward, in the release of our imagined and limited self, by affirming with zero arrogance the truth of our Holiness.... That we are now and have never not been, exactly as God created us.

Then, of course, as Prasad told me..."Just don't forget it." :-)

Lesson 285

My holiness shines bright and clear today.

Today I wake with joy, expecting but the happy things of God to come to me. I ask but them to come, and realize my invitation will be answered by the thoughts to which it has been sent by me. And I will ask for only joyous things the instant I accept my holiness. For what would be the use of pain to me, what purpose would my suffering fulfill, and how would grief and loss avail me if insanity departs from me today, and I accept my holiness instead?

Father, my holiness is Yours. Let me rejoice in it, and through forgiveness be restored to sanity. Your Son is still as You created him. My holiness is part of me, and also part of You. And what can alter Holiness Itself?
